 Our Suggested Itinerary - Explore a past Aujo Travel trip for your next adventure

Day 1 | Seoul

Upon our arrival, we will meet the local team at the airport, embarking on an introductory tour of Seoul – the economic and cultural capital of the Republic of Korea. Our tour will commence with a stroll along the beautiful Cheonggyecheon Stream, which runs through the city and connects to Dongdaemun Square and Doota Market, one of the most popular markets in the city. In this artistic market, we will explore hundreds of impressive shops and stalls, get acquainted with some local street food, and then proceed to our hotel for the night.


Day 2 | Seoul

In the morning, we will embark on a long and immersive tour of one of the most interesting cities in the world, home to over ten million residents. We will explore the COEX underground shopping center, featuring a variety of brand stores, entertainment venues, and restaurants. Continuing to Gangnam District, known for its Gangnam Style... We will take a cruise along the Han River, ascending to the summit of Namsan Mountain, standing at 262 meters above sea level, offering a panoramic view of the famous Seoul Tower and the beautiful park, a green oasis in the bustling city. We will conclude the day at Myeongdong, a shopping district rich in makeup shops, street food, and clothing stores. Overnight stay and dinner in Seoul.


Day 3 | Seoul – Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) Region

The morning hours will be dedicated to a tour of one of the last remnants of the Cold War between the international powers of the United States and the Soviet Union. We will visit one of the most heavily fortified borders in the world – the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a 4-kilometer-wide strip of land serving as the separated area between North and South Korea, also known as the DMZ area. We will explore the southern side of the most famous tunnel in the area, created by North Korean communists beneath the ground for espionage purposes. We will overlook the border area, including the city of Goseong and the Propaganda Village located within North Korea. Additionally, we will witness the natural landscape developed in the Freedom Park dedicated to the five million citizens of North Korea who left their families and homes in the North. Returning to Seoul, we will visit Dora Observatory, providing a view of North Korea and its ancient capital. We will also spend some time visiting the War Museum of South Korea, established on the exact location of the military headquarters, where we will explore ancient war collections and combat equipment used in the battles between East and West.


Day 4 | Seoul – Folk Village Tour – Hwaseong Fortress – Train to Gyeongju

After breakfast, we will visit the Folk Village, showcasing a detailed and fascinating reconstruction of the traditional Korean lifestyle in the 18th and 19th centuries. We will have the opportunity to witness the popular South Korean TV dramas in recent years. During the tour of the village, we will observe artisans, around 230 buildings constructed in a unique Korean style, scenes from daily Korean life presented by actors in traditional clothing, and sometimes even witness religious ceremonies, music performances, and wedding reenactments. After the tour, we will continue our journey towards Suwon, where we can be impressed by Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site built in the 18th century by King Jeongjo. It houses the royal palace, impressive towers, and more. After the tour, we will take the train to Gyeongju, the historical capital of the Silla Kingdom.


Day 5 I Gongju – Korea's Ancient Capital

This morning, we will delve into the ancient city of Gongju, which, following the unification of the three kingdoms into Unified Silla in the 7th century, became its capital. The city, also known as the "Museum Without Walls," holds many historical pieces, including remnants of temples, palaces, and ancient tombs, making it a UNESCO preservation city. During the tour, we visit the Cheomseongdae Star Observatory, a structure dating back to the 7th century and likely the oldest observatory in all of Asia. We explore the Tumuli Park, containing dozens of burial mounds of Silla kings and their precious belongings. The tour continues to the Bulguksa Temple site, which houses ancient sculptures and temples with roofs considered architectural marvels in East Asia. We proceed to visit the tomb of King Muryeong, hidden in the tumuli trees with treasures buried alongside him, and explore the Seokguram Grotto, an impressive structure built in 751 housing various sculptures, including a giant 3.5-meter tall Buddha statue. In the late afternoon, we will continue our journey towards our next destination, the city of Busan.


Day 6 I Beautiful Busan

A remarkable and special day awaits us in Busan, the second-largest city in the country, home to four million residents living in one of the most modern cities in Korea. During the city tour, we encounter towering skyscrapers, visit the world's largest department store according to the Guinness Book of World Records, and explore Yongdusan Park with the impressive Busan Tower, built in the 7th century. We also visit Nurimaru APEC House, a unique architectural structure where leaders of the Asia-Pacific region meet, resembling a traditional Korean house with a modern twist. Crossing the majestic suspension bridge of Gwangan, we reach the observation deck of the Oryukdo Skywalk, made of glass and located tens of meters above the sea. We conclude the enjoyable tour at Haeundae Beach, considered the largest beach in the country, offering cafes, a well-maintained promenade, rocks, and impressive sculptures. Overnight stay and dinner in Busan.


Days 7-8 I Jeju – Journey into the Natural Wonder

This morning, we will leave Busan and take a short flight to Jeju Island, known as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Jeju Island combines breathtaking views of unique volcanic mountains, impressive waterfalls, fascinating flora, and a giant volcanic cave. Over the next two days, we explore the island and visit various remarkable sites, including the Sangumburi Crater, the picturesque Jungmun Saekdal Beach with its cozy cafes and comfortable walking paths, the Saengil Wolleong Village, preserving ancient traditions and stone-built structures, the impressive Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls, and the Seongsan Sunrise Peak, a 200-meter high peak offering a stunning view of the island and the blue ocean. We visit the area of Seogwipo, reaching the Jusangjeolli Pillar Rocks, a coastal area with hexagonal basalt columns, and explore the Manjanggul Cave, one of the longest lava tunnels in the world. We witness the Sanbang Mountain, resembling a dragon's head and rising 350 meters high, and indulge in the Tea Museum dedicated entirely to the traditional beverage and its ingredients. Overnight stay and dinner on Jeju Island.


Day 9 I Jeju – Seoul

After breakfast, we will embark on a final tour of Jeju. We visit the Yunyun Cloud Bridge, a swaying bridge suspended over tree-covered cliffs above a charming freshwater pond. Continuing to the Yongduam Rock, located on the northern side of the island, standing at a height of approximately 10 meters, resembling a dragon's head due to water erosion. We end our visit to the island in the Dongmun Market, rich in food, souvenirs, and more. In the late afternoon, we transfer to the airport for a return flight to our hotel in Seoul for an overnight stay and dinner.


Day 10 I Seoul and Its Attractions

This morning, we will participate in a Kimchi-making workshop, learning how to prepare the traditional Korean dish that is an essential part of every Korean meal. We then visit the Bukchon Hanok Village, built around 600 years ago, offering a traditional Korean atmosphere combined with fascinating history. We explore the Gyeongbok Palace, located in the heart of modern Seoul and once served as the main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty. We end the day in the Insadong District, abundant with galleries, antique shops, and cafes, considered one of the most recommended areas in the city for shopping and leisure. In the evening, we gather for a festive dinner, concluding our unique journey in South Korea.


Day 11 I Seoul 

This morning, we will complete our final tours in Seoul.
