Despite several decades since the Vietnam War, only in recent years have the two most fascinating countries in Southeast Asia opened their gates to incoming tourism from the West. Vietnam, rich in a variety of breathtaking natural sites, wonderful landscapes, and a colorful and fascinating population. As a sweet ending to our special journey in Vietnam, we will venture into Cambodia, where we will be impressed by the wonders of Angkor Wat and other amazing sites.

 Our Suggested Itinerary - Explore a past Aujo Travel trip for your next adventure

Day 1 I Hanoi

Upon arrival in the evening, we will be transferred to the hotel for accommodation, dinner, and overnight stay.


Day 2 | Hanoi

We will dedicate the day to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It is a colonial city with impressive buildings that testify to its French influence and its glamorous past. We will embark on a tour of its central sites and charming streets, visiting the massive mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the founder and leader of Vietnam, and his residence. We will continue to the One Pillar Pagoda and the Confucian Literature Temple. In the afternoon, we will take a trip to Halong Bay, cruise through its beautiful bay, and return to the Gulf region for the night.


Day 3 I Halong Bay - Hanoi

Halong Bay is one of the most beautiful and famous scenic sites in Vietnam, one of the seven wonders of the world. The clear waters of the bay are dotted with thousands of islands/rocks in various shapes, including stalactites and caves. The cruise also includes a visit to the stalactite cave, and we will have lunch on the boat. We will return to Hanoi and take a bicycle tour through the central streets of the city, strolling through the 'Restored Sword Lake' area. Overnight in Hanoi.


Day 4 I Hanoi – Sapa

A long morning drive on the new road to Sapa will take us through the green landscapes of northern Vietnam to the well-known resort town built under French rule. Upon arrival, we will take a walking tour in the village of the 'Black Hmong' tribe and later climb to the 'Silver Waterfall.' Overnight in Sapa. Accommodation and dinner in Sapa.


Day 5 I Unforgettable Saturday in Sapa

We will take advantage of the Queen's Saturday for a calm and peaceful leisure day in the city of Sapa. After the Sabbath prayers, we will go on a walking route within the city among the beloved residents to be impressed by the city's atmosphere and take walking routes in the Sabbath area.

Day 6 I Market in Bac Ha

After breakfast, we will travel to the famous Sunday market in Bac Ha, which is the center for several ethnic minorities along the Red River. Various ethnic minorities preserve their culture and traditions in colorful clothing and vibrant markets. Minorities like the 'Mong Flower,' Tae, and Dzao come to this market every Sunday. After the tour, we will return to Sapa by car.


Day 7 I Sapa - Hanoi - Hue

This morning, we will have breakfast and transfer to the airport, where we will fly to Da Nang in central Vietnam. From there, we will travel to the picturesque town of Hoi An, which was once an important port city for Chinese and Japanese traders and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will take a tour of the town, visiting the Japanese Bridge, the Fujian Community House, and one of the preserved merchant houses, and then stroll through the picturesque streets and shops. Day 8 I Hoi An

In the morning, we will take a boat trip to visit the Tra Que vegetable village and enjoy the beautiful rural scenery. We will have the opportunity to participate in traditional agricultural activities. Afterward, we will return to Hoi An for lunch and then have free time to explore the town, visit local shops, and enjoy the ancient atmosphere. Accommodation and dinner in Hoi An.


Day 9 I Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue

After breakfast, we will drive to Da Nang, where we will visit the Cham Museum to explore the collection of Cham sculptures. Later, we will continue to Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam, stopping at the famous Hai Van Pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline. Accommodation and dinner in Hue.


Day 10 | Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City

This morning, we will head towards the Mekong Delta through picturesque villages, flooded rice fields, and bustling markets. We will cruise on the Mekong River, navigating through narrow branches leading to a landscape of mangrove vegetation. Passing through the floating market of Cai Be, we will visit various home factories for making rice paper and sweets, and witness the orchards with tropical fruit trees along the riverbank. Enjoying the tropical fruits, we won't stray far from this paradise. At the end of the boat trip, we will reach Vinh Long City, from where we will return to Ho Chi Minh City for the night. 


Day 11 | Friday - Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap

After breakfast, we'll explore more of the colonial city: visiting Notre-Dame Cathedral (under renovation), the Central Post Office building, the War Remnants Museum, the market, and more, as time allows. Towards noon, we'll head to Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for Siem Reap, where we will spend Shabbat. Accommodation and dinner in Siem Reap according to kosher requirements.


Day 12 | Saturday in Siem Reap

We will spend the Sabbath in Siem Reap, located near the Angkor Wat temples, one of the wonders of the new world. During the Sabbath, we will learn about the story of the Angkor Wat temples through a visit to the modern museum located in the heart of the city, which narrates the fascinating story of these incredible temples. After the tours, we will return to the hotel, and after the conclusion of the holy Sabbath, we will attend a fascinating Vietnamese circus show called Phare. Accommodation and lunch in Siem Reap.


Day 13 | Wonders of Angkor Wat

This morning, we will embark on a day of tours at the Angkor temples. These temples symbolize the splendor and power that Cambodia possessed between the 9th and 13th centuries. The buildings showcase marvelous architecture with sculptures and reliefs that serve as impressive works of art and crucial sources of information about the daily life of that period. Among other places, we will visit the South Gate, Bayon Temple, Angkor Wat Terrace of Elephants, and the Royal Palace area. We will witness the sunset over one of the temples. Accommodation and dinner in Siem Reap according to kosher requirements.


Day 14 | Siem Reap – Elephant Terrace – Karawan Temple – Tonle Sap Lake Cruise

This morning, we will continue exploring the wonders of Angkor. We will visit the second complex of temples, where we will see the Temple of Nature, Preah Khan, considered the most beautiful nature temple in Cambodia. Continuing to a lovely pearl: the main temple of the Elephants, East Mebon, located in the eastern water reservoir of Angkor to visit the Anthay Sri Temple (the Woman's Castle), famous for its unique stone carvings. We will embark on a cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, passing through unique floating villages. In one of them, we will have the opportunity to enjoy a special sunset. After sunset, we will depart for the airport for our flight through Bangkok, spending the last night of our trip.

Day 15 | Bangkok 

This morning, if time allows, we will tour around the Thai capital: Bangkok, the less touristy side (as we've been here before).
